I walked into Wal-Mart, and it was selling for $38, and I got a "free" printer with it. It's steal at this price. Amazon should match this price. The printer prints out very crisp and clear printouts. IT didn't require It can print photos as well. I recommend you print from the included software for the best color matching, and use photo paper. You do NOT need a little LCD screen on a printer, if you are just going to print from a computer anyway. Since I got this for the scanner feature, the printer feature wasn't too important. It scans very at good resolution, and reasonably quick. It's a low-end scanner, so don't expect it to scan film negatives, but at $38 I cannot complain. Agree with the other reviews- does not come with a cord to link up to your computer so that is annoying but I used my old Canon printer's cord.
